NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF MOUNT MORRIS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing regarding a proposed local law entitled “AMENDING CHAPTER 59 (‘ANIMALS’), ARTICLE III (‘DOGS’), SECTION 59-15 (‘PENALTIES FOR OFFENSES’) OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT MORRIS CODE” will be held on the day of January 13, 2026, commencing at 6:30 p.m. in the Village Offices at 117 Main Street, Mount Morris, New York at a regular board meeting.
The Village Board of the Village of Mount Morris has considered a proposed Local Law entitled, “AMENDING CHAPTER 59 (‘ANIMALS’), ARTICLE III (‘DOGS’), SECTION 59-15 (‘PENALTIES FOR OFFENSES’) OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT MORRIS CODE” as the Village Board desires to update the penalties for offenses for violations of Chapter 59, Article III, Section 59-15 of the Village Code in order to provide appropriate deterrence and revise the fine structure for second and subsequent offenses.
THIS PUBLIC HEARING IS BEING HELD TO HEAR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES AND CITIZENS FOR OR AGAINST THE ADOPTION OF SAID LOCAL LAW.
A copy of the proposed local law is also available for review at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular office hours.
